AKRON, April 29, 2013 — Centrus Group, a consulting firm specializing in turnaround management, crisis intervention and other services for distressed or struggling companies has announced the addition of Jerry Stethem and Brian Sedlock to the Centrus Team.
Jerry Stethem is a seasoned executive with over 25 years experience in restructuring, turnaround, crisis management, business improvement, corporate renewal, balance sheet management, workout, refinancing, recapitalization, capital raising, buy and sell side transactions, high growth and low growth situations, merger, acquisition, divestiture, integration and transaction advisory services.
Mr. Stethem has significant experience in both publicly traded and private held entities across a broad range of industries with companies ranging in size from $10 million to $750 million in revenue and capital structures ranging from $10 million to $1 billion in senior and subordinated debt and equity.
Prior to joining Centrus Group, Mr. Stethem’s previous roles have included President and Chief Operating Officer of a large Northeast Ohio plastics manufacturer, Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of a large Northeast Ohio metal and pipe fabrication company, Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer with a publicly traded $750 million distributor of pharmaceuticals, and more than seven years with Ernst & Young as Manager in their Entrepreneurial Services Group.
Brian Sedlock has nearly 25 years of experience in accounting and finance, serving both publicly and privately held businesses ranging from $40 million to $6.6 billion in size. Mr. Sedlock has spent the past 15 years focused on a multitude of areas including crisis management, restructuring and turnaround, corporate renewal, workout, refinancing and recapitalization, mergers and acquisitions, divestiture and optimizing business performance.
Prior to joining Centrus, Mr. Sedlock has served in various executive roles with a large publicly traded food manufacturer as well as a large publicly traded distributor of pharmaceuticals. He has also held similar positions with a privately held mid-market conglomerate specializing in plumbing wholesale and the chemicals and adhesives industry as well as a privately held metal and pipe fabricator.
