        What is a troubled company?
        Too often, the ownership or management of a company does not fully understand the depth of its trouble until the company is facing financial crisis. Until then, management often denies the difficulties are anything more than a "bump in the road." But, then, the problems will not go away. The crisis deepens.

        And, typically, the management of troubled companies face circumstances with which they are totally unfamiliar. They don’t have experience with crisis and therefore don’t know how to respond effectively to crisis situations.

        Centrus knows the difference between a "bump in the road" and a company in crisis. Our goal is to guide the company through the crisis phase into recovery.

        The road to recovery
        When we go to work for a company, our first action is to define the most key issues hurting the company and address them in a priority that deals first with the problems having the greatest negative impact. And we begin immediately to negotiate the very best financial arrangements possible with the creditors.

        The first step towards recovery is to establish stability. To accomplish that, we focus on the following:

        Cash Flow – analyze and establish working funds from which to operate
        Revenue Issues – address the issue of continued operating resources through sales
        Reporting Systems – review and implement the best possible information management systems
        Technology – evaluate the comparative technological competitiveness of the company
        Business Plan – develop a written business plan that reflects the objectives, strategies, tactics and timetable for returning the company to profitability
